How do you want to live… transformed or patched up?
The more I see Jesus through the eyes of Matthew and begin to see Jesus for myself the more I realize…
“Jesus did not come to patch us up; Jesus came to radically transform our lives.”
Sick, blind, lame, disease ridden, and desperate people flocked to Jesus for healing. People who had been rejected because of race, or people sent to live outside of the city because of a violation of the law, also sought Jesus when He walked upon the earth. Desperate people like you and like me still seek Jesus today.
Jesus demonstrated His authority over sickness, death, the thoughts of men, the wind and the sea. He healed the sick and raised the dead; but He came for a much greater purpose.
Jesus came to earth to transform the lives of those who follow Him. A transformation that is intended for the here and now on earth. A transformation which also includes an eternal transformation in heaven.
Are you consistently approaching Jesus for transformation or for a temporary patched up triaged life?
I want to encourage you to keep taking that next right step. A transformed life is worth the effort in the here and the now.
Resilient and strong,
